Welcome to Team Finder Beta! Our team designed this feature to help teams and players find each other. Looking to play on a team? Try Team Finder. Looking for players to round out your team’s roster? Try Team Finder!
Please note: If you are looking for an emergency goalie for your game, please continue to use Goalie Finder. To learn how to use Goalie Finder, check this article.
When you open Team Finder, you’ll see three tabs: Teams, Players, and Your Matches.
- Teams: The list of teams actively looking for players. You will see the team name, league, location, positions available, and player skill level desired.
- Players: The list of players actively looking for teams. You will see the player name, location, positions played, and player skill level.
- Your Matches: If you have created a Team Finder request (player or team), your matches will appear under this tab.
To create a Team Finder request, click the blue icon in the top right. You can also click the “Create a team finder request” button under ‘Your Matches.’
PLAYER LOOKING FOR TEAM: Select which position(s) you play and your skill level. The final box is for you to describe yourself as a player – make sure to fill this out! It’s your opportunity to sell yourself to your new team. Which area would you prefer to play? How long have you been playing? What kind of player are you? Will you be a good fit in the locker room?
PRO-TIP: If you are a player looking for a team, the Team Finder dialog box will auto-fill your player skill level from HC settings. If you update your skill level on your Team Finder request, it will automatically update in HC settings.
TEAM LOOKING FOR PLAYER(S): Select which position(s) you’re looking for, the range of skill levels, your team name, and the name of your league/tournament. The final box is to describe your team. What days and times do you normally play? What’s the cost for the season? How seriously does your team take games? Are there beers after games?
PRO-TIP: If your team and/or league doesn’t already exist on HC, Team Finder will create it for you.
MATCHES: Teams/players matching your criteria will show up under the ‘Your Matches’ tab.
That's it. Happy match hunting! Please remember that this feature is still in beta. This means that our team is still actively working on Team Finder. The feature will evolve as time goes on, and we are open to hearing your feedback!
