There are two possibilities for the players in your league:
- Existing HC users (player-created account)
- New HC users (league-created account)
When adding a player, you are required to include an e-mail address. If the e-mail address is already associated with an HC user account, the user will receive a notification that they have been added to a team in your league.
If the e-mail address is NOT associated with an existing HC user account, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided, prompting the player to verify their e-mail address on HC.
League managers can only edit an e-mail address if the player has not verified the account.
If the wrong e-mail address was provided or the player did not receive the verification e-mail, the league manager can resend the login instructions.
Once the account is verified, the player has authority over the account and the league manager cannot change the player’s e-mail. It is now the player’s responsibility to access their account. This includes changing their account e-mail address and resetting their password.
